Reslight - Who wrote Pastor Russells speeches and books himself or Mrs Pastor Russell.

For a start there is outright contradiction in two of your above quotes.

In 'New Creation' he supposedly says that people should get out of those organizations and describes them as 'unclean'.

In your quote of what he supposedly said in question 317 he says, (supposedly0 that he would say no unkind word about these organizations and he would nevery say anything against organizations such as the Freemasons.

So, what was Pastor Russells REAL opinion on these organizations and what were the opinions of whoever really wrote his books and his speeches, may well be two completely different people and ideas.

MRS Pastor Russell may well have been dead against Freemansonry as it would have taken her husband away from her far to often for her own liking and she may well have condemned these organizations in the books and speeches she wrote for him.

Things are not always as they seem and are rarely black and white.

Russell may well have been a Freemason which would not have been an unusual thing for his time.

He may well have had links to other organizations.

Whatever, he managed to produce a pseudo religion that turned its adherents into unthinking drones.
