The book study was a bit rushed tonight so quess what happened at the end.

The book study conductor on his own decided to ask a question.

Will following the Bible ever harm you?

That answer has to be yes if one has read the bible without the aid of ... an aid.

    Min,

That's my point, he could go either way with that question, depending on what he was trying to accomplish.

You mean answer the attendees were supposed to answer.

What was their answers the usual "because if the bible says jump we say how hi!" " It's for our own good spiritually despite the physical harm"

    5go,

He left off the fact that studying the Bible by itself is dangerous without their publications to guide you. They need to tell you what the Bible means. Therefore it could have been a loaded question.

I think the brother meant to say Will following Jehovah's word (governing body) ever harm you?

English isn't his first language. This was definitely in relation to the other event he even said we need to be attending all meetings at the end.

Well they all know that by now.

: Will following the Bible ever harm you?

Yes. Numbers chapter 31. Kill all the men, women and boys, but keep the little virgin girls as sex slaves. That would harm anyone with any sense of decency. Moses ordered this, and he was PISSED that it wasn't done the first time he ordered this. Moses said of himself in Deuteronomy 34:10 "But there has never yet risen up a prophet in Israel like Moses, whom Jehovah knew face to face." Indeed. It is interesting that the WTS said Moses wrote Deuteronomy, yet these words just quoted were written BY Moses and ABOUT Moses AFTER he died!"

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
