If my wife was that sick, I would have bowed out politely a long time ago. As for Al Gore, the only way to make that house more eco friendly is to turn it into about a dozen condos. I support the message whole heartedly, just not the doublespeak.

Hmmm...so John Edwards rallies against currupt businesses and corporations and he is some bad guy? The fact that he has to be attacked for running while his wife is sick proves how little dirt people can get on him. As far as his child, it was his child's death that pushed him into politics and spring boarded his whole career. Not fame or money. He has never used him as a cheap vote getting tactic either.

Such a simple thing to set me off as an enemy. If you really don't know how to roll up your sleeves to work pretty boy, then don't attempt it for a staged photo-op....................................................pathetic, like the $400.00 hair cuts...uggghh..................................oompa

Again this WTS logic. How does that have anything to do with his campaign? How does that make him unfit for president. It was a bit embarrassing but is it any worse then all the other candidates and their blunders? Seems funny your not attacking anything he stands merely just a few superficial things.

Burgertime, sorry but it was all just soooooo phoney....I almost screamed. I don't think there is a lot of difference in positions of any of the Democratic major canidates. He and Hillary are the two that jump out at me as two who are willing to say or do anything to get in the White House, not the rest.....luv politics....oompa

Well I just have to say, as a tarheel I respect him. Though I also don't live anywhere near him so that may be why we differ in opinion.

What Edwards is saying that the country just doesn't seem to want to wake up and change, is that this country is not run by politicians - it's run by corporations and unless you can get rid of the lobbyists and corporations that have a choke hold on anything that moves inside the USA, you will not have a system that's any different than what is there now. The system is corrupt in that the major corporations own the government and neither Hillary nor Barack have said one single thing about it. Nothing. Status Quo for both of them.
I happen to agree with Edwards - when a CEO walks away from a company with 10 billion dollars after laying off 1,000 of his workers, there is something wrong with the system. When 50 million of the citizens of this country are without health insurance but the top CEO's earn 12 billion for their work - there's something wrong. When 35 million people in this country don't have enough food to eat but we spend 200 million on a political campaign between Hillary and Obama themselves - there's something wrong with the system.
You don't get the backing of major corporations unless you pay back. Anything has got to be better than a Republican and although I think Hillary comes across with more passion than Obama, I think Edwards platform against poverty is the best up there!
BTW - who care's if his neighbours don't like him? A lot of Dubby's neighbours love him - and he's ruined the country - so what's that say? sammieswife.

I think if this doesn't get fixed soon nothing else will matter. He seems to be the one talking about real CHANGES! AT least we know his track record in taking on big corporations....

P.S. I also like his hair...maybe it's a southern thing to be concerned about hair! My brothers always spent time in front of the mirror making sure every hair was in place! LOL!

That's for sure.
This country is sliding down into an abyss that they will not dig out of if they don't wake up and make the changes. In the next 10 years, the USA is set to lose over 30,000 of it's best and brightest to other more competitive and prosperous countries. The country has lost in real wages as the dollar drops, manufacturing has disappeared and we teeter on recession - in fact, some of the experts already insist we are in recession and in the next few years it's going to get far, far worse. Unemployment has risen to 5% and is going up - food is tripling in cost, the cost of oil is rising, rents are exploding as the housing market dies and wages go down thanks to union busting, outsourcing and illegal aliens forced to work for unethical employers. We lost 4,000 men and women in a 9 trillion dollar war against a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 but everything to do with oil. swife
