Interesting....the wayback archive link for the "Vow of Poverty" file doesn't work anymore.

I signed that Vow of Poverty when I went to Bethel (1969). Though it seemed like a simple matter to me (since I went there with every intention of pouring body and soul into the Cause, with no thought whatsoever of additional financial remuneration beyond the $14 a month stipend), I found out afterwards that it had a lot to do with all the g-jobbing that went on among Bethelites, which wages would be, of course, subject to taxation in and of themselves, and would also jeapordize the WTS's assertion that it was a non-profit organization.

I had signed something similar to this in 1973 (and yes, Farkel, I was an idiot to do so!) but it wasn't worded like a document I'd expect from the Catholic Church!
VM44, it's odd the Vow of Poverty document is no longer available from Internet Archive. The Branch Organization Manual still is...will it disappear soon too?
