Hi Brooke! I looked at your page before it was gone. Your a cutie! Glad you came back. Your story is really disheartening. And very typical of relationships. I think a combination of all of advice below is very good advice.
Get your ducks in a row and watch yourself. Being curious and worried by the mate is one thing, but if goes into long term spying and then controling and such it can be signs of something very dangerous. So you may want to look into the legal advice that has been offered here. It hurts to hear but don't close your eyes to it. Many people here have been through it and it can be maddening as LisaLV mentioned. Really if one spouse is a JW and one is not...there is a problem and a big one there that has to be gotten through.
Men that grow up JW's are used to having a lot of control and when it is lost they often try anything to keep it. It is not anything that cannot be worked through, but unfortunately it does and will happen and it will hurt him when he wants attention and you cannot give it to him because it is not the kind of JW attention you believe in. Heck, just by becoming a healthier person by leaving the JW's you will find you are not able to give him a lot he is used to getting attention from you for. Because as Avi said, what he is doing is abuse. My 2 cents is to make sure you don't find yourself giving him negative attention just so he can get his attention fix. You know, remember to try to fill that empty space he has with some positive things. He may just have to learn by watching you. Trying but true.
Keep your chin up girl...You seem to be trying really hard to stick to your convictions. That is a good thing. And as JW as it sounds, truly, sometimes wars are won by using the example approach.
