I knew that was going to happen. Civil War maybe if the USA was behind her death no most likely not, it was done to stop from giving the people more power, and keep Musharraf in power. The supply lines to Afghanistan maybe cut if there is a civil war so if the US wasn't behind it someone in the pentagon just peed in his pants.

Maybe a civil war will open their eyes. Fact is that the middle east is 300 years behind in human rights and democracy.

I am so sorry for Bhuto. She knew how dangerous her return was.

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan - Pakistan opposition leader Benazir Bhutto was assassinated Thursday in a suicide bombing that also killed at least 20 others at a campaign rally.

The death of the charismatic former prime minister threw the campaign for the Jan. 8 election into chaos and created fears of mass protests and an eruption of violence across the volatile south Asian nation, which has nuclear weapons and a support base for Muslim extremists.

maybe..... hopefully.... after the wave of extremist backlash, this tragic circumstance can galvanize the centrist and moderates who decry the rise of islamic militarism ...

    for good or ill...
    with whatever
    faults
    failings
    and foibles
    that litter any
    individual life path...

    her dedication to principle
    was compellingly sincere

the best to hope for now
is that there is not a complete
    disintegration of her visions
    for such a troubled land.....

( it would serve us well to remember there are those who believe the bomber was a martyr)

The US and the *ahem* Coalition needs to lock this whole region into it's countries so no one can get out and let the Muslims settle their problems among themeselfs.
