Sorry for your feeling down over what is our common experience: we're dealing with people at various stages of personal development and they with us.

I am so different from the man I was one year ago, two years ago. Speaking only for myself, I was so acutely sensitive of others' meaning when they talked [writing here at JWD] that I was often despairing over either misunderstanding them or being misunderstood myself. I really don't know what happened to make me more objective and pragmatic. I simply developed a thicker skin and gave the benefit of the doubt more frequently than not, given the singular nature of "faceless" discussion boards.

It amounts to, I believe, being realistic about the nature of social interaction - the give and the take, the ebb and flow of human relationships. We often say hurtful things; that's regrettable. I try to remember the following:

I hope we all can become more civil and self-controlled.

I am not a big fan of Chinese food. BEWARE OF MYSTERY MEAT. One time when I was with some friends in Mexico they served something that I believed was boiled pigs head. That night I thought it was safer to go outside and have street vendors food, and home made hooch. Imagine trying to stuff a tortilla with ground pig nose. DAMN!!!!!!
