I've been posting for a long time... sometimes more, sometimes less. Most of us grow over time with the help of other posters... so I thought it would be interesting to look back at your first post or topic... and see how you have changed since you joined the forum. My first topic was about friendships in and out of the borg....

I've made new friends since then, and the old friendships have deepened...my ideas on this topic were the same then as they are now.

So...what was your first post or topic...and have you changed your ideas since then?

    Interesting idea, CB.

My first topic was about a good friend of mine who had fallen and died at Bethel in 1973.

So the histrionics have no change, nor my attitude about them. But, I have definitely changed ENORMOUSLY. I have grown in many ways - I have gone thru most of the stages of grief now - 3 years later.

My first topic was a request for information on ex-jw support groups. I did finally find a group that meets every month, but it's about ninety miles away and between my very busy schedule and the price of gas, I haven't attended one of the meets in about eight months. So yeah, I guess I have changed. At that time I NEEDED an outlet for all the religious nonsense that I'd tucked away deep inside. Now that I've taken out the trash, I'm finally OK.

My first topic was about an an anounced change in the Revelation book. I saw it and had to tell someone, so I registered a new account here (I'd been a lurker for ages) and posted away.

I intended to be a sort of "hit and run" poster, posting requests and observations AND IN NO WAY getting involved in fluff or anything remotely sociable. I was going to keep my beliefs to myself, keep my real name a secret and tell no one...

...so only 8 months on from that, I now get involved in "fluff", flaming, social posting. I've made some good friends on here, learnt loads and made several friendships that extend beyond JWD.

    Funny how things change

My first post was on Barb Anderson's Journal of Church and State topic about the Louderback-Wood article on blood and the tort of misrepresentation... It was super BIG NEWS and got me posting finally...

My first topic of my own was asking about the blood article on the TMS and if anyone knew when it was...

    Fun!
