The lines that go,"when you fall in love with a broken heart, wakin' up's the hardest part." Don't know the name of the song . . .

It's hard to pick one only - music defines every aspect of my life. Three songs come to mind:

Stormy Monday - because things are still often pretty rocky and I never know what new troubles might be waiting tomorrow.

What a Wonderful World - because in spite of everything I still give thanks every day for my blessings and the wonderful wonderful world I enjoy (when I was a JW I disliked this song - go figure!)

Imagine - because I'm still dreaming and hoping that one day i might be able to make a difference in the lives of others.

What song describes your state of mind at this point in your life?

    Hmmm... Good question...

Maybe "Trashed and Scattered" by a band called Avenged Sevenfold. These are some of the lyrics:

Keep on writing you're just raping yourself (nothing can take my mind away from them)
Don't you ask about me, ask 'bout somebody else (Once I've fallen there's many stories to tell)
I can't feel it, won't embrace it, it's overwhelming how far ya take it (I'm in a state of questioning)
And don't you tell me you know we' re destined, you won't convince me, I won't listen (Resentment building, you've put
    our lives on hold)

...And don't you try to stop me, it's a place you'll never know
Don't try to judge or take shots at me, I'll never let you seize control

The song that describes me at this point is,"Like it or Not" by Madonna. We've all left them, and they can like it or not, but... it won't change who we are.

Here are some of the lyrics:

You can call me a sinner
You can call me a saint
Celebrate me for who I am
Dislike me for what I ain't

Put me up on a pedestal
Or drag me down in the dirt
Sticks and stones will break my bones
But your names will never hurt

    I'll be the garden
    You be the snake
All of my fruit is yours to take
Better the devil that you know
Your love for me will grow
    Because

    [Chorus]
    This is who I am
    You can
    Like it or not
    You can
    Love me or leave me
    Cus I'm never gonna stop
    No no
