Does love need to be attached? Or, can it be detached?

Love needs no object. At it's most basic, love is an open heart. There need be no knocking for you to open your heart. It just needs "Yes".

If love is a feeling, about WHAT is it a feeling? I think you need an object towards which to direct such a feeling.

Difficult to describe... I do daily meditation. And once the mind is quiet, this feeling of love takes over. A feeling that the heart is opening wide! It is not directed toward anyone or anything in particular. It is simply a feeling of love...pure and simple. Yes, you may call me crazy...I have been called worse *summer*

Love in respect to the question you ask is an insufficient word to adequately proceed with the analysis this topic deserves. But for the sake of brevity I would say it needs a focus!

Possibly. If you see different branches, so to speak, it may be something to follow. Could lust be a path leading to love?

You aren't the only one. I got that feeling sometimes when i did chigong w the sun.

An addition to my other post. I never did get that in meditation, though. Just in chigong.

Crude oil - fractional distillation - components! Love is more like this to me! Lust is different in that it may complement love or be separated from it!

I think chigong could be called a path to meditation. There are many paths.

Anything can get connected to anything in our minds. Lust could lead to love, just as Christianity could lead to compassion. But lust (as I take the meaning here) is more about our animal (e.g., mammal) natures, or could be aligned with possessiveness when linked to an intellectual imperative. What do you mean by lust?

Lust as coming from our animal nature can bring us to circumstances where love should come into the equation (how do we treat the object of our lust?). But they are not intrinsically linked - we humans tend to like to link them, though I see that more as a social construct rather than a per se relationship.

    Satanus...

I am not familiar with chigong.

But if you are familiar with meditation and chakras, it all has to do with the heart chakra. And once the heart chakra is open and well balanced, this love can be felt. Very powerful at times.

I daresay this pure love can be seen on the Buddha's serene face and smile:-)

    Love is .

SO does it need anything ? NO

Love is the definition of perfection .

This is perhaps the finest definition of love I have ever seen put into words and song .
