You know that meaningless applause during the last talk of the district convention -- c'mon, you must have had that claptrap in your area too -- where all the JW's put on the seal act and knock their flippers together ? That's what this video was. Just a bunch of feel-good stuff for the JW's, orchestrated by a guy who didn't want to be a JW. He just wanted something on his resume, so he can build his career as a documentarian.

I was not impressed one way or the other.
The two families were so far from the norm of everyday witnesses, it made it unbelievable. I think it told more about two families and their struggles than anything.
I don't think watching it makes someone KNOCKING on your door anymore inviting.
I wonder how many witnesses have seen it, being directed by someone who is gay, when many would not watch FINDING NEMO, finding Ellen Dejeneres voice repulsive because of her sexual preference.
The director said he was raised a JW, he decided to be a journalist instead. Sounds like he wants to be a JW, but he knows he can't.
Had he choose more mainstream witnesses, the trip to Austria would not have happened. And to Los Angeles, A morning at the bus station handing out tracts or Wal-Mart would have been more the order but less exciting. Eating do-nuts at the local Krispy Kreme.
I guess I expected something more of really going out in service, car groups etc etc.
I think the mother was spot on, but they reduced her after the success of the operation. I did feel a lump in my throat at the oncoming of the surgery for Seth. I think they were very brave and couragious heading into that.
I thought Seth's girlfriend was adorable.
I do hope something is done to show what KNOCKING is really like for JW's.
