How can you fight the Watchtower - without being disfellowshipped? Easy! Countless Witnesses

have been doing it for years! It's called passive -aggressive behavior.

Every big congregation I know of has at least one person who is a ceaseless thorn in the side of the

elders but who never gets disfellowshipped. It's the sister who is utterly tactless and damaging in the

door to door work. It's the older brother with a hair trigger temper who claims to be of the anointed

and has more than a few screws loose. Such people have even lived at Bethel for decades!

Here , get a clue as to what I'm taking about:

The above is a very funny short film. See also, John Cleese's "How to Irritate People"

Most of these types do nothing to get themselves df'd because they are not df'ing offenses. I actually think elders are proud of themselves when they "put up" with such ones.

In my old cong there was a really good builder. He had been a JW for years and his wife and their five children are also JWs. The builder eventually stopped going out in the ministry and was eventually taken off all the privileges, such as reading Watchtower (ooh, goodie). I had that builder round at my house and he really was excellent - but he never shut up about how false the organisation was and he had books stretching all the way back to Russell. I know, because he brought some of them round!

I was a devout JW at the time and reported his actions - and others had reported the same. Nothing was EVER done to hime. Why? Because the elders all used him to building work on their houses! Even the book study was conducted at his house but he wasn't allowed to read!

Interestingly, he was instrumental in my exiting Once I had my own doubts he confirmed them! Sadly, he is too weak to leave. He never goes to meetings now but said he's afraid he'll not be able to see his children and grandchildren if he leaves completely. As long as he is a JW - even a watered down one - he feels he's safe re the family.

Amazing, isn't it, that the elders warned me to be careful when he came round and yet they were all using him!

I know of many elders who have sleepless nights over nutballs in their congregations.

now, if more people would endeavor to be such nutballs.....
