Newspaper articles on JWs devastated by the 1975 disappointment

    Thank you everybody for your kind words. I am deeply moved.

    I will give my friend Bruce Price the address of this Thread and of the related Thread where I gave the 20-page "Questions" that the devastated JWs produced. I am certain he will be pleased.

    If I cannot find the other documents these JWs produced, which they named "The First Resurrection" and "Pronouncements", I am hoping Bruce might have a copy that I can scan.

    While looking through his magazine for April/June 1977 on this subject, I noticed that Bruce had another newspaper article from the Frankston News of April 1977. (Dandenong and Frankston are large communities close to one another). The scans I provided at the start of this Thread are from original newspapers.

    You asked for the date when the WTS first made its pronouncement regarding 1975.

    According to the magazine that my friend Bruce Price put out in October 1975, the WTS made its first declaration in 1966, with the release of its book "Life Everlasting - Freedom of the Sons of God".
