When meal time comes at a hospital, no one is fed with a blood transfusion. Blood is not intended as nutrition.

"One stupid argument I read from the society is that there might be nutrients that transfused blood may contain naturally and u would be in effect 'eating the nutrients' that came from blood so it is like eating blood. Can't remember the article. Anyone?"

That's ludicrous. They weaken their own case by admitting that blood itself is not a nutrient, but the CARRIER of nutrients. In light of the above, glucose should not be allowed to be given intravenously or otherwise consumed due to its being a "blood nutrient".

There is a blood component that has been applied therapeutically as an intravenous nutrient. Although not recommended, on rare occasion it is still used this way today. The component is albumin. Ironically, the Watchtower blood taboo does not prohibit transfusion of blood albumin, whether it is intended as a nutritional supplement or not.
