I don't know if it's this time of year and I'm in serious need of a break, but I wake up exhausted in the morning and fall into bed a night. Anyone else feeling like this? I't 15h00 in the afternoon and I'm ready for bed.

I know exactly how you feel!

It's 9:00am here and I had to pull myself out of bed. It doesn't help that everyone else in my house is off today And I have no weekends because it's spent with my son's high school band Now it's Monday morning and I'm a little grumpy because I don't feel like I had a weekend

I can't wait to go home and get in the bed I hope your day gets better and that you can catch up on some rest!

This weekend I've been the same. That is - I've gone to bed quite late, but have had severe problems getting out of bed in the morning. I've always needed a lot of sleep though.

But I also attribute at least some of it to a light 'depression' from all the JW crap going on in my life and brain right now.

Almost every minute of every day, however, with our active five year old....it is not going to happen. If you are sleepy, have no distractions, then, fall into the sheets and enjoy the bliss of a long snooze: wish I could.

This time of year, I have to up my coffee intake, and put sunlamps about the place.

this season gets me down a bit.

Things could be worse! How about a Sunday morning meeting with field service in the afternoon. How about every Saturday morning ruined, not to mention Tuesday and Thursday night meetings.

You got it good now, so quit whining!

The easiest cure for depression is to get up and get moving. Thats all easier said than done. I've battled it all my life. You could try paxil, I took it for a while. You need an interest a reason to get up. For me its a hobbie and things to look forward to. regular exercise helps. Fall, autum was always a more depressing time for me. But this isnt your fall or autum down under. It's spring? Naps are good. I've always indulged 1500 where I live thats 3pm The mexicans call that a siesta. It works for them. It works for me. Chill out. Ronald Regan always took naps and he was able to set the US on the road to depradation.

I get that way - fatigued and somewhat bored - when I'm depressed. It does help to get up and get active, and make sure to get plenty of sleep, even though that's a boring thing to say. I hope you feel better soon. If you don't improve, maybe time for a visit to the doctor for a physical. Or, maybe it's just what you said. You are in serious need of a break - hope you can get a break and have some fun.

I hope you don't go to anti-depressants without exploring the other good advice here. Change in the weather, circumstances, things that we are avoiding looking at about ourselves or our situations - bad marriage, bad job, etc. Our minds and bodies are trying to give us information about either our physical or mental state. When we take anti-depressants (without a diagnosis of a chemical imbalance) we shut off that information that we might better handle with exercise or self-awareness. I have reason to be depressed, but I push myself to regularly get some good, sweaty exercise. My experience has been that doctors are ready willing and anxious to prescribe anti-depressants without determining if there is a chemical indication. My GP put me on Paxil a few years ago with no more than a 1 minute consultation. Three months later, it was very unpleasant to get off of - I hated it.

Well it's suppose to be spring but it's still very cold and we haven't seen the sun much. Spring is a month late!

Ronald Regan always took naps and he was able to set the US on the road to depradation. I;m sure my boss would be impressed if he found me fast asleep at my desk! We don't have siesta in South Africa. I don't think I'm depressed though I have a good marrige, my kids are mostly well behaved I have a great support base with good friends. I just feel exhaused. Like my mind and body belong to two different people. Maybe when the sun starts shining I'll feel better. Thanks for your kind replies. xxx
