How cool. Perhaps he raptured, leaving his body behind, together w his feathers. Kidding. I notice too, that alex's owner was starting to look a lot like alex.
S who hopes he doesn't start looking like his cat
Wow, that's really neat.
I don't know anything about the bird really or the work that Dr Pepperberg did but I did notice that she did her research in theoretical chemistry... does the work she did witht the bird really hold water in the psychologist/neurologist/cognitive scientist community??
Just curious, you know, for example you always hear of some Dr So-and-so doing research in some field like biology but when you read into them, they have their doctorate in like, business management and their word holds no authority in the field of biology...
Anyone know the real scoop??
I'd love to hear a clip of Alex talking. Is there a youtube link?
I'm not very fond of birds. They smell funny and make me sneeze.
changeling
Yes, Alex is on YouTube; how could he not be?
There are a number of Alex films and farewells here:
Thankyou Nathan! Oh that was so lovely! Oh they must be mourning the loss very much!
What a sweet soul was Alex!
Thats sad to see Alex die.
I remember the witnesses telling us when I was a child that humans were the only ones with any intelligence.
