Intelligent people seem to be able to see through the nonsense that is the WTBTS stance on blood transfusions. The not so bright ie the JWs tend to just accept it. With the change in 'fractions' being a 'conscience matter' there was going to be a clash of views sooner or later.
As to the HLC being held in 'high regard' by doctors, we know that the WTBTS is full of such lies!
However, the local HLC member is worse than a tabloid newspaper for gossiping about what happened at the hospital to who and how and what the doctor told him etc. It's a disgrace that doctors will discuss these private affairs with such uneducated, gossiping idiots!
Since when did anyone want their medical information broadcast to all who will listen?
