The spying is spoken of in In Search Of Christian Freedom by Raymond Franz. It was a very rare case but it made headlines in Greece. Evidently there was quite a large group of ex wittinesses meeting for bible studies. A couple of people got BOE'd about a day after they went to one of the meetings and then got DF'd. This led to the women whose home it was at to pay a little more attention to the Van parked outside of her house. She called the police then approached the van. The van drove off immediately but was then caught by police in a park trying to dispose of recording equipment. The people in the van were member of the branch, one even a "ranking" member. They denied spying but were found guilty in court. The greatest thing was that the guys had paper over the window with a hole the perfect size for a camera lens. After reviewing of the tapes they found it was zooming in on people going to and from the house. I do not think many brother go out to spy on other brothers. Likewise if it is close family you can claim you were meeting with them because of a money emergency. Or just say you weren't discussing spiritual things. Stay strong friend.

If they start following you, you should take pictures or videos and then file charges for stalking and harassment. This is B*llSh*t! Why should anyone be so presumptuous as to think they have the right to keep you from seeing your own family!

If your family is DF'd, do you really have much of a stake in staying in? Do you have a lot more family in than out?

Sorry to hear the cult is creating such problems in your family and you are afraid to visit your own daughter and son in law who were expelled just because they asked some very reasonable questions.

Is it worth staying in such an org that wants to separate you from your children?
