I agree that the fear of suffering is much more acute than the fear of being dead. It's how you get there that matters. There are much worse things than death. This thought enters my mind every day, as I watch people suffer for years. Severe Chronic pain, in itself is by far the worst sentence a person can get. And that comes while you're very much alive.
