In summer, here in the northwest, many of our rivers, which are supplied by melted glacier water, become milky (called glacial silt), and are unsuitable for fishing, esp. fly fishing. So beautiful warm weather is not good for fishing in some locales. Don't know if this applies to your thread but I use every chance I get to share useless trivia that clutters my brain..
