This teaching was invented by Rutherford. He was a lawyer. So OF COURSE he would explain a classic theological problem in legal terms, construing theodicy as involving a heavenly court case.

    EXACTLY!!!

JWs have no systematic way they view theology. Instead they have a number of topics that are important to them and they interpret everything around those topics. There are many important things missed because of this, but those in the JW mindset usually will bluff over such things as unimportant.

I could never understand why everything Job went through somehow didn't answer that alleged challenge. I could never understand why it STILL supposedly hasn't been answered. Makes it seem like Jehovah perpetually answers to Satan, so then who's the real Sovereign here?

The JW theory of Universal Sovereignty makes Jehovah God look more like an egotistical narcissistic Hitler than a god of love and the JWs like a bunch of Nazis just itchin' for everyone else to die so they can live in some "utopian paradise" than reasonable rational people.

Can we say superiority complex? Seems like a fear based theory more than anything to do with love.
