    Hijacking question:

"Do you think Minimus is annoyed he blew one of his daily thread counts on a duplicate title?"

    :)

Para, you're too funny. Perhaps you can change the course of this thread to something better (and not already discussed).

    Hmmm, worth a shot...

Actually I think the members of the governing body do believe what they say. After all they are anointed in holy spirit and chosen by Jehovah himself. Every day I include them in my prayers and thank God for blessing his earthly organization with his favor.

One day I hope to travel to the New York bethel to see if I can meet one of the Governing Body. A sister in our congregation met one on her trip back in '96. She said it was amazing, the older brother had such zeal for Jah that he almost seemed to glow. It is a great blessing to know that we are part of this true religion.

If only you apostates could experience something like this, maybe you would be able to see the error of your ways and return to the light.

Good points parali! I often pray for the same.

I think it would be sooo neat just to touch one of them.

Gives me theocratic goosebumps just thinking about it.

I think it depends on what they're saying.

If they're saying, "I, as a member of the governing body, know that I am better than YOU," they believe it.

They probably believe that their boborygmi are the whisperings of angels. Farts, therefore, are powerful expressions of Jehovah's wrath.

If they're building a chronological case to support sputnik being the King of the North, they know they're full of shit, but they also know that the suckers will let them get away with it.

When I read the Sputnik "prophecy", I thought it was possible that some truly believed the possibility as being truth. I didn't get the impression that everyone felt it was ridiculous.

The same deep conviction can be found in some UFO enthusiasts, in some mental patients and in some of the ranks of Scientology, to name a few. Sincere ignorance proves nothing.

The bullshit artist, the really good one with strokes reminiscent of Renoir or Van Gogh, delivers his bullshit with the sincerity of a true believer, He doesn't believe the

substance of what he says, but believes in his own pathological need for you to believe it. The GB are the best BS artists in all creation under the sun. Who else but they could devise

and perpetuate religious ideology that is often akin to fratricide and believe that it is ''for the good of the flock." They are patronizing and evil, shameful in their arrogance, and culpable for

all the hearts they have broken and every spirit they have bowed down. Their own publications say that God will not excuse ignorance when ignorance is willful. How then can God,

even their God, excuse them? They know the TRUTH but love the LIE. To the true BS artist, the LIE is so much sweeter.

Nathan, I agree but those promulgating "Sputnik" might've sincerely believed they were being directed by HS.
