an interesting development in the coatbridge congregation just outside glasgow a while back....

anointed member got df-ed and another cong member started taking the emblems 'as his replacement'

df-ed member gets reinstated and both continue to take emblems

    I found this really funny....................

I'd rather see something more current on that. I was told they would not be anointed after "falling away" back in the 90s, but that QFR is from the 70s. You know the Society is run by a bunch of flip floppers.

this is the latest info...it hasn't been discussed since so if you were told that in the 90s they were told the wrong info.

however according to the principle that if the org hasnt reiterated something recently then its probably because they are about to change it..and considering that they have recently changed the thinking regarding the cut off date of 1935...then maybe they will change it..or in your case keep it...or something..

in the meantime enjoy this little nugget from even further back...

? May an anointed brother once disfellowshiped but now reinstated and on probation be used to pray at Memorial time?—C. O., United States. It is true that if a brother has been reinstated in the congregation after disfellowshipment and is on probation he may be served with the emblems of the Lord’s Evening Meal in order that he as one of the anointed followers of the Lord Jesus Christ may obey Jesus’ command to partake thus in remembrance of him. However, when the reinstated brother is put on probation it would mean certain restrictions are imposed upon him. He may not be used in a representative capacity to speak and act for the entire congregation. For that reason even though he may be the only anointed one in the congregation he should not be used in offering prayer at the opening or the closing of the meeting, nor in prayer pronounced over either of the emblems, any more than he should be used in giving the talk regarding the Lord’s Evening Meal. If his period of probation ends before the actual arrival of the celebration, then he could be used in offering prayer.

so should armageddon come while he was still under 'probation' he could still get to heaven but would have to wait till his probation period is up before he can begin the judging and the ruling

Dedpoet brings up an interesting scripture for any christian to consider. How can one who has been born again (begotten by spirit) be revived if they fall into a sin they begin to practice over a period of time according to the scripture he quoted?

According to bible believers and what the bible says, one who has been born into christ CANNOT be lost ever again because they recieve "a token"...or a guarantee to a spot in heaven and NOBODY can take it away. So, how is it the bible says one can become lost again once he or she has been begotten by spirit?

The society's stance on one who has become annointed yet turns back to willfull sin is that it is Jehovah's choice as to whether they can become one of the annointed again. But....once their place has been filled by say....a newer one, then how does he make room for the repentant annointed one who fell yet returned in time?

He makes room by letting us know that the number 144,000 is symbolic after all! That takes care of every problem.

One day in "the ministry" I met this lady who said that she had been d/f'd 20 years previous but would now like to come back , just like that...I was kind of surprised.. Anyway she did come back in and was reinstated. She had been of the 'remnant' previously and just picked up again as an anointed sister from the time she was reinstated.

They said no one could say that she was not one- , so it was accepted

To be honest, when she started taking the emblems everyone raised an eye. She had always been considered on the fringe of the congo and not a good example of a witness Anyway it just goes to show how wrong the 2 flock thingie really is. And all that judging each other, and at the same time saying they dont, just goes to show its all BS.
