It's not spamming. It's very targeted and specific and yes it is anonymous, still not spamming.

I sent the link to my parents, honestly, I did it as a warning to them, cuz this Mcclean creature is likely hiding in a congregation somewhere. I will post this brief story of their reaction.

Spamming is the abuse of electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited bulk messages, which are generally undesired according to Wikipedia.

Since this is not bulk but appears to be unsolicited and possibly undesired I would say its not technically spam but it may not get through to the recipient in any case if they are operating a white list.

Boloney! I get 'spam' from Witnesses all the time about stupid experiences and illustrations. What's the difference? Sometimes I don't know the recipient and what am I going to do track him down? Oh please.

If you take a look at your 'spam' ...what's in it? watches, loans, debts, viagra, meds, etc. THAT IS SPAM.

"But because the Internet is public, there is really little that can be done to prevent spam, just as it is impossible to prevent junk mail."

"Spamming is economically viable because advertisers..." Are you advertising? NO.

Yeah guys, it wouldn't be illegal. Just wonder, would they suspect you anyways? Why not set up a free email account, and don't use any real personal info in setup.

Let's put it this way - why don't you have the courage of your convictions and tell these people what you think directly rather than hiding behind other people? If you feel this strongly about it, speak up!

I'm not into creating situations by which to confront the JW. Once the JW has been contacted in such a way they are going to be suspicious about everybody. Who sent them the link?

This could make the person more 'apostate conscious' and simply push them in further because they feel they are under attack.

Sorry for not giving a reason why I felt that way, I was in a hurry.

Also, things such as the Rick Mcleans story tend not to have an effect on JWs unless they are personally involved. If not their excuse will always be that they don't know the situation and that there simply could have been some really bad Elders. Even if the Society shown to be negligent in a court of law, it will prove nothing to them.

From what I have seen, most people have a personal experience (or a number of them) that expose the organization to them and draw them out.

If I sent it directly from my email they would wonder why I don't send those feel good little stories instead of just the look what JW disgraced the jw's again story. I don't want them to stop talking to me all together.

If I would send them negative info about a brother/child molester they would start to suspect I have a bad attitude.

I can't just set up a anonymous gmail acct because the orignating ip address fo the email would be from my state. I live in a different state from them.

thank you for the replies. This request has been filled.
