I might be wrong, but; the 2nd debate is tonight on Nightline (ABC).
The premise (everything needs a creator/designer) is a "the buck stops here" proposition when you believe in god.
People want a person at the end of the infinite regress; they don't want an unresolved infinity of mirrors.
