Ok, so I have just brought a JVC GR-D340EK and a Samsung VP-D361.
Does anybody know which is the best, I plan to keep one and sell the other. Very little reviews on the web.

I am also getting ready to buy one so it would be cool to hear from those who have them and which ones are worth getting.
In that case, bttt this goes! Brent, good look in your quest
I've had a couple of digital cameras memory capacity is important, if everything else is comparable I'd go with the camera with the greatest memory capacity.
I owned a Samsung and it fell apart after only minor use. I had trouble with the software used to upload the video to the computer. Samsung? It was ok. I now have a JVC. I've had it for over a year and a half. This little thing takes nice video. I use the firewire to upload it to my computer and then edit it there and burn DVD's of what I want to keep. It's a blase. I've used it for Youtube postings too. I reccommed the JVC over the Samsung, that's based only on my experience.

...also, buy your backup batteries online. The 100 minute battery for this was 89.00 at frys. Online I paid perhaps 20 something. Honest.
