Yep. They set you up to fail w/all of their "rules and regulations".
That's very sad Jeff about the lady. I know of situations where the same has happened.

I COMPLETELY agree with this description. Nearly everyone I've known personally who has been disfellowshipped needed help, sought help from the elders, and got the exact opposite. Kicked in the teeth is right.
I can't go into details but a friend of mine was DF'd very recently for being the victim of sexual assault! They told her she needed to stop being so emotional about the details because fornication is fornication and they DF'd her. She was a genuine believer. She was in NO WAY at fault. She did nothing wrong. They DF'd her.
I can't even begin to tell you how angry this makes me.
