Has The Governing Body Gone Mad?

The Apostle Paul's defense before King Agrippa and Governor Festus at Acts 26: 1----32, wherein he recited how he became the man he now is from what he was, incited Festus at verse 24, to declare that great learning was driving Paul "MAD". Of cause Paul defended his recital and was sent on to Rome to appear before Caesar.

Many believe that Paul was not mad and was the founder Christianty.

Comparing this to the present day Governing Body, They are always defending themselves, whether it about Doctrinal issues, name any you can think of, Blood Transfusions, Pedophilia, the way they treat the rank and file, legal issues etc. They too have appeared in court before "Caesar" sometimes they win and sometimes they lose.

My question is,"Has the Governing Body gone "Mad", have they lost it so to speak? What do you think? They have defended themselves with many recitals in print and at Circuit Assemblies, District Conventions, new releases etc. Many times out of their own mouths they have condemned themselves. Can't they see the "HYPOCRISY" in all of this? How long can they pretend to be what they are not, FDS etc? Do they actually feel what they feel about themselves?

My own answer to these these questions is,I believe that the Governing Body has gone "MAD". ( showing or resulting from lack of reason; foolish and rash; unwise; a mad scheme. ) ( from Websters New World Dictionary of American English. )

Of cause one is entitled to their opinion.

I think the revealing part about the governing body is that none of them have created the role they play in the organization. Since it was Rutherford, Knoor, and Franz that created their religious oligarchy, I get a sense that the current GB have no real feeling of personal responsibility as people. They tend to pass off their actions as simply 'what is needed' for the society, what is simply to be expected of them.

I don't think it is a matter of them believing their own BS, I think it has more to do with them actually believing all the BS from the people that came before them. They now only carry on the tradition.

By they way, what has the Governing Body actually done in the past 15 years other than take back a number of long held doctrinal positions???

I don't think they've gone mad at all, though a few of them may have gone senile.

They are determined to hold on to their power at all costs, and will do anything to do so. The mishandling of paedophile cases is designed to protect the increasingly-batterred reputation of the org. The blood policy is so confusing now that very few, if any jws understand it, which siuts the gb. Their recent change in understanding, as they will view it, of the gathering of the anointed will enable them to postpone armageddon for a bit longer.

Everything they do does not suggest the actions of a group of madmen to me, but those of a scheming group of men who know exactly how to hold on to their control of the 6.5 million or so jws under their authority.

Primarily, tighten up the thumbscrews on the R&F.

"Higher education" is bad, bad, bad....you must completely shun all D-F'ed relatives, regardless of how close you are/were...women are under "the law" of their husbands...you can now be D-F'ed for some forms of pornography viewing...and so on.
