This is a ridiculous scenario I think they over-scared that lady as if mercury is radioactive plutonium, I use these lamps for years and saved a lot of money on electricity bills, they last for a long time unless a house suffers from voltage spikes. Fortunately I never broke one.

Sorry, I don't care how much money these silly light bulbs save, the light is horrible. I love halogens, and mood lighting. None of that crapola lighting for me.
No lights on during the day, but I want romantic mood lighting in the evening. Halogen spots are the best on a dimmer switch!
