I realize that the WT Society won the Supreme Court case in 2002, however the decision still left a few loopholes and uncovered angles. My question is this---Does anyone in the US know of any current legal disputes with JW's concerning "No Soliciting" ordinances? Does anyone know of any communities that have been able to bypass the Stratton vs.WTBTS Supreme Court ruling? and how was it accomplished?

Well here is an interesting experience I just had. I went to pay my rent and asked the landlady if soliciting was allowed in the apartment complex. She said "No", I said what about religious proselytizers, such as Mormons and JW's? she said "We dont allow anyone to knock on doors here, religious or otherwise" I mentioned that the Mormons are here every month or so, and that the JW's hardly ever come here. She said "When we see the Mormons, we run them off too" "This is private property"
I just thought I would share this little tidbit. I dont remember working alot of apartments during field service in Ohio, but I do remember working some, so I always thought that JW's had the legal right to go door to door in apartments, now I know differently. -

I'm not familiar with the laws concerning knocking on doors in a apartment complex, but I have "No Trepassing" signs around my house. It works for me!

Good morning JunctionGuy!
I do remember many years ago in one "suburb" that was in our territory that required us to notify the police there that we would be working in the area. I have no idea if that is true today. The police of this suburb would roll through every now and again to check up on us. They were always friendly.

Twenty years ago or so, if we came across a "no solicitors" sign, we could go to their doors on the assumption that when they protested, we could say that we weren't "selling anything" but sharing bible thoughts, blah, blah, blah. The "no trespassing" signs were a bit trickier to deal with bluffing our way out of.....but I have known situations where JW brothers would go to those houses anyway.....they were "pleasing Jehovah" that way.
