I think Tego Calderon is the joint!

For all my caribbean fans!!! Boricua!!!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGM0fwfxLgI

Calderon had recently traveled to Sierra Leone along with artists Raekwon and Paul Wall to film a VH1 documentary about diamond mining entitled "Bling'd: Blood, Diamonds, and Hip-Hop." The documentary focused on the role of Hip Hop in the blood diamond trade, after the trip Tego had publicy announced that he would no longer wear chains, rings or diamonds.

He recently finished filming "Illegal Tender," to be released in 2007, when editing is completed. He will play the role of a really dangerous thug from Puerto Rico.

Sorry to be off-topic but... What does "boricua" mean? I ask because I had an ex boyfriend who would say it whenever he saw an attractive woman ( ) so I assumed it meant something akin to that. Or maybe he was saying something that sounded similar that means pretty woman?

Boricua is another term for Puerto Rican

"The word Boriken, which translates to "the great land of the valiant and noble Lord", [3] was used by the original Taíno Indian population to refer to the island of Puerto Rico before the arrival of the Spanish."

I'd say it's a celebration of their now lost original heritage.

Well, I live in La Parguera, a small, usually quiet tourist town on the southwestern coast, and I work in Mayaguez. While I like Salsa and the typical music of Puerto Rico's "jibaro's", I do not like Regueton, which is usually heard coming from small cars with impossibly loud bass. I guess I'll never understand this fascination that some young men have with "sharing" their choice in music with the rest of the neighborhood.
