I don't think they look bad. I wear glasses. I hate them, but I want to see what is going on, so.......

Er, did I just turn "behave himself" into a new euphamism?
Not quite what I meant...
"Yes brothers. In todays meeting we will be covering 'Overcoming the unclean habit of behaving ourselves.'"
Heh.

Take the glasses back, and get the cheapest pair of frames they have. Even single vision glass, if you can get away with it. Forget the contacts. Wear your glasses for 4 to 6 weeks, to give your eyes a rest from the contacts, and let your eye shape return to normal. Make appt. for Lasix surgery.
Worn glasses for since 3rd grade. I love not wearing glasses. I had mine done 5 years ago, $ 2500.00 Now it is about 1000.00. Iv'e saved a couple of hundred in contact solution alone.

If I recall from another picture I saw of you and this one as well, you have beautiful eyes. Personally I feel those frames don't do them justice...something lighter maybe so you focus more on the eye and less on the frames.
Not that those don't look nice, because they do. Just something to ponder.

They look great, how about me?

Ditto what Horrible life said! I had laser eye surgery three years ago.. after wearing glasses or contacts since the age of 5, it was quite a change!! You may still have to wear glasses to read or something, but it is worth it. I was legally blind without corrective lenses.. and I haven't had to wear glasses since the surgery (except to drive at night.. the lights get funny)
It took me about a year to stop feeling for my glasses on the headboard in the morning
About the frames... I think they look fine, BUT.. if you are at all unsure, take em back. I found that if I didn't love them right off the bat, I never would.. You don't want to find yourself hating them a few months down the road.

Hey purps! You are beautiful as ever! I have progressive lenses and you do get used to them. There is no line so they don't look like bifocals. I just couldn't go there. lol
I used to wear contacts for years then my vision changed and I had the torque kind for awhile and they were a pain in the ass as they are weighted and were hard to keep in position on my finger tip before I put them on my eye.
Then I just went back to glasses. I am due to get a new pair as I've had these for a long time.
I think they look good on you. They do give you that secretary look which is popular right now.

I have a friend that got the no-line bifocals and she said it takes a little getting used to, but once you do it's no biggee at all. As far as the look, I think they look hot. Just for kicks (and to encourage "behaving") I entered "sexy glasses" into Google's image search. There is a picture of a woman on the first page wearing glasses that look just like yours.
If they're good enough for Google, they're good enough for me!

Hey purps, you look fine in those!
I too have progressive lenses (they call 'em varifocals over here) and yes you should get used to them - you can get different types with the best (ie most expensive!) having a wider range so things don't look as blurry when you look out of the sides. I got those because my distance eyesight is horrendous - anybody wants to go tripping legally and free of charge, they borrow my specs lol!
The only range I have trouble with is 2-3 m and I can't seem to get focussed on details whichever part of the lens I look through.
