Is there a difference between an outright lie and an untruth? Aren't they one and the same?

According to the Watchtower of Feb 1st 2007, it depends...

However, as has been suggested on this board, this could just be a "softening tactic" to prepare JWs for a change in doctrine.

Personally, I think it will be combined with the communication "communications from the 24 Elders" and the revelation that the "annointed remnant are not special"

AlphaOmega, I hope you keep posting here, your posts so far have been interesting. (At least to me ) Another example of a LIE in the Revelation climax book can be found in their discussion of the Great Crowd in Rev 7:15. In this verse it says that the Great Crowd serve in God's temple, which later verses in Revelation state is in heaven. The Society attempts to explain this, by saying that the Greek word for temple used here is 'na-os' They say 'na-os' includes the temple's outer courtyard, which means earth to them. This is not true, 'na-os' does not include an outer courtyard, but the temple's inner sanctuary only. In their NWT, they translate every other use of this word in that context as 'temple (sanctuary)' Although they did state in a WT in the 80s the incorrect statement that na-os can include an outer courtyard, in the last decade they have wrote an article stating that 'na-os' refers to the inner sanctuary only, which is correct. BUT, they have not updated this in their new Revelation book. They still state in the book that 'na-os' includes an outer courtyard, which they know is wrong. The Revelation Climax book is full of lies.

I cant find the quotes at the moment, but it is also a lie about 606. Russell knew about the error in 606/607 prior to 1914, and so was not sure whether the end would come in 1914 or 1915. There was conflict in the magazines as sometimes it stated 1915 and sometimes 1914. After 1914 the magazines for the next 12 months used the date 1915 consistently.

Is this the one that you meant?

...and this one regarding the change to 1914.

When I see it, I reminds me of the Sept 2006 KM re Revelation Climax changes.
