    Thanks again Blondie,

I really look forward to this each week. Not for the Watchtower garbage, but your insights on it

We still have family in so we want to know the current brainwashing detergent being used.

Looks like its still the same environmentally dangerous pollution.

They are full of themselves as per your concluding comments.

They say not everyone will get a witness.Yet they no one can understand the Bible without their input..the GB/FBS ..When I read the Bible Matt.24:14 says in part.Preached in ALL the INHABITED EARTH.WHAT part of the Bible don't you understand GB/FDS.

Ho Hum, not a lot to inspire the flock in this article... If I were still conducting the study I would know that it would one of those weeks when answers would be slow in coming. - all I can say is that they turn a discussion of Gods love into a form of criticism - If you are not doing what they say you should do.

p12 "Consequently, faithful Christians guard against secret sins that corrupt the mind and heart, such as the viewing of pornography and violence. While some sins can be hidden from humans, we realize that "all things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of him with whom we have an accounting"

That sort of comment used to get me depressed as an adolescent youth who could convince himself that he had committed unforgivable sins by the normal growing up urges and feelings. Being laden down with a guilt trip is no fun

p21."What a contrast such ones are to true Christians, who by means of heartfelt prayer, willing obedience, and whole-souled service demonstrate their appreciation for all that God has done for them"

implied criticism - if you dont feel whole-souled any more - you are an ungrateful so and so, 'Look at all that God has done for you, at least you could spare a morning to do on the ministry', they really mean.

The theme scripture (I wonder how much emphasis it will get) is Heb 6.10 "God is not unrighteous to forget your work........." It seems to me that the article is in a contrast to that attitude., Or am I speaking as an ungrateful apostate???

So, 1935 is being scrapped eh...never believed it anyway.

The UNfaithful Slave pulls dates like these out of their butt.

    Hi DNC

I’m glad you don’t have to sit through this one or any. It is mind numbing though and convoluted. It is even worse when no one is answering except children who say "Jehovah" or "Jesus" or people who read it from the paragraph.

    My experience

    1. Read it when it came
    2. Read it when I "offered" it in d2d
    3. Read it when I studied for the meeting
    4. Heard it read at the meeting

I pretty much had it memorized by then. I raised my hand on every 3 rd or 4 th paragraph to maintain some sanity.

I heard from a WT conductor that things are really dragging as far as answering at the meetings. He primes his wife, daughter and SIL, as well as another couple to raise their hand. Shame on the elders, MS, their wives and the pioneers. They should never leave the conductor hanging like that. Can you guess he misses my being there to answer.

I love Sunday mornings; hubbie makes breakfast, I sip my freshly ground, brewed coffee, juice, and a choice of pancakes, waffles, omelets, etc., as I read the paper wondering if I should go shopping in the afternoon and what movie we might see.

Did you have a nice nap?

    Thanks, OTWO

    I have wading boots.

Thanks for the info, Ann, but we know its just smoke and mirrors. They will still be talking people out of being "anointed" and not putting them in the count sent to headquarters.

    OTWO and jgnat

, yes, it will probably escape their notice since so many JWs don’t read the WT publications and let others do their thinking for them.

    Thanks for the support, mavie.

, I hope what I write does help someone. Actually, it helps me never want to go back and I hope it does the same for lurkers.

Thanks, yesidid. I like to know what they are facing too at the KH. I really believe more and more are going less and less; and more importantly giving less money.

Hey Bob, yes, the WTS has backed away from the possibility of really talking to everyone at least once. The population growth rate is faster than they can trot from door to door. They can no longer explain how people in India, China, and Islamic countries will "get a witness."

Hi, Bluesbrother (Belushi died 25 years ago)

After 50 years in the WTS, and many as a pioneer, I can’t remember once when I was commended; just a good for nothing slave.

Hey Flash, nice analogy about dates. Don’t worry, they always have more dates from their special source.

    Love Blondie

I got a question to pose regarding a couple of sentence" toward the end of this study article ...."True, the brothers preparing these publications are not infallible. Their writings are not inspired as are those of Paul and the other Bible writers. (2 Tim. 3:16) And so, at times, it has been necessary, as understanding became clearer, to correct views. (Prov. 4:18).... hmmm, seems to me that in a couple of other threads on this site there was some discussion regarding comments in a recent WT and the Revelation book that the "resurrected anointed ones" , including those resurrected since 1918 have been "directing" or "messaging" in some way to those of the current faithful slave..... If thats true, then there would be no corrections, cause would we seriously feel that this type of direction would be given in error???? just food for thought... :)

    Thanks Blondie.

Do you know of JWs that prayed publicly that were shortly thereafter df’d? Did God hear those prayers?

Yes. I also knew elders that disfellowshipped and reproved members of the congregation while they themselves were carrying on immoral conduct.

    Love and respect,

    Nvr
