The Great Elsewhere has spoken! And it shall be so: May 6 for the Crawfish Boil. May 5 for the wedding. Sounds to me (correct me if I'm wrong) that the wedding will be at the Renaissance Fair in Waxahachie, with the happy couple wending their way to Dallas that night, where they are hoping to meet up with a few or more of us that evening, and then the Crawfish Boil the next day. A truly wonderful weekend!
Little Toe, here are a few hotels that cater to the romantic for your nights in Dallas:

Those three are in Uptown, close to The Bradford (of course, that's always an option!) and a very nice neighborhood full of antique shops, good restaurants, and a trolley that goes up and down McKinney Avenue.

We shouldn't be in the garden area too long, and there's lots to do there; what with eating and joisting and looking at swords and eating and carousing and did I mention eating...

Oh, I don't think you'll have a lack of apostates at the RenFest! Yes, the Crawfish Boil will hopefully be at Elsewhere's apartment complex, complete with POOL. So y'all start those situps and leg lifts now! (For those of you from out of town, early May is VERY appropriate swimming weather in Texas.)

Heck it's supposed to be 80 here today in Austin. I told my daughter this morning we need to start shopping for swimsuits!
BTW I'm planning on bringing my daughter to the crawfest, so I hope it's family friendly like it has been in the past.

Blondie and I will be there for the festivities at RenFest; gathering afterwards in Dallas, and the Crawfish fest at Elsewheres. We will make lodging arrangements once we have more details on location of after wedding gathering. Look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones!!!

Great -- Jennie and Jackson will be there too, Xena! You know, maybe we ought to look at hotels in the mid-Cities area, near Elsewhere's apartment complex or Arrowstar's abode. I believe some people stayed out in that direction last year. Anybody remember where?
