In 1938 the Watchtower Society published the book "Crusade Against Christianity" in German. It was published in French the next year. Apparently this is one of the few books authorized by the Watchtower Society which was never published in English. It details some of the persecutions of JWs under Hitler's Third Reich. Some WT references to it:

    Dec. 1, 1965 WT, p. 733

Meantime, in Germany, the Nazi fury rages and our brothers are exposed to frightful, inhuman persecution, which they withstand even at the cost of their lives. Documented material that reaches our office about such persecution is carefully preserved. Then Brother Rutherford approves publishing a book giving the evidence of the sufferings of Jehovah's witnesses in Germany. It appears under the title "Kreuzzug gegen das Christentum" ["Crusade Against Christianity"] in the German language. It is also published in French and Polish.

    Dec. 1, 2004 WT, p. 26

In 1936 and 1937, the Gestapo conducted mass arrests and threw thousands of Witnesses into prisons and concentration camps, where they suffered the most cruel and sadistic treatment. The branch office in Bern, Switzerland, began gathering reports, including some that were smuggled out of the camps, for a book called Kreuzzug gegen das Christentum (Crusade Against Christianity), an exposé of Nazi crimes.

    YB 80 p. 86

In 1938 Brother Franz Zürcher from Berne Bethel published a book entitled "Crusade Against Christianity," giving a detailed report on the persecution of Jehovah's Witnesses in Nazi Germany. The following year the book was published in French.

    Cabasilas,

Thanks immensely. I read this book back in the 1950s just after I came into JWs. I thought I read it in English, but I also read and speak French. I remember that shortly after that the WT removed it from their books and librarys. For some reasons they did not want it distributed.

I have been looking for that book ever since I left dubdom in the late 1960s.

I have saved a copy. I will read it later, and reveal anything that should be made known.

I have a copy of this book in German. It must be one of the few Watchtower sponsored books not to appear in English - only French German and Polish.

I was thinking of making a translation into English. But I vaguely remember reading that someone else was preparing a translation of it.

If someone else is doing a translation already then I will save myself the bother.

    Anyone know?

I'd be very interested in a translation into English. I don't know if anyone is working on it or not, however. I can make sense of the French version but my vocabulary is somewhat limited and I miss some of the more subtle nuances. I did notice there is a chapter on the JWs appealing to the League of Nations and there's an interesting letter from Protestant theologian Karl Barth.

    For the francophiles among us...

Here's an improved version of the PDF file. It's now searchable and has bookmarks. I apologize I wasn't able to do the bookmarks with the proper accents, but I think it'll be easier to use. The file is a little over 8 MB and can be downloaded from this filesharing site:
