It's 18 normally, unless served with a meal paid for by an adult in which case under 18 is permissable. And not many people know that!

I am 40, and if anyone cards me I can only gasp "God bless you!" :) I watched a movie recently about soccer in England, and a young man was asking his british friend what the legal age for drinking was, and I think the friend told him 13 or 15. . .I can't believe a movie gave wrong information! (I think the movie was called "Goal!". Saw it on accident, but enjoyed it.)
