Yep - headed West to Chicago or SouthBend I suppose - Football game coverage tomorrow most likely. We live on a dead line between Toledo and those points, and I know they often base one of them in Toledo.
The grandkids were thrilled. As were the grandparents too.

I don't know which blimp it was, but when I was a boy in the early 1960's we saw a blimp fly into Moffett field in San Jose. Very impressive. It was a Navy Blimp I believe. It was an airshow come to think of it.

We heard this wierd engine - I thought it was an ultra-light - but it was nearly dark and it seemed late for that. We looked out the bay window that faces north and lo and behold.
I wish I had the camera at the ready - had to borrow this one from google.

My ex brother-in-law used to fly the one stationed in Akron and then he moved to Florida to fly the one stationed in Pompano (spelling?) Beach. He took me up in it and he even let me man the controls for a few minutes. What fun!!
