Where To Go?

Where, or what site would I go to that would lead someone to be able to read the hideous WTS policy on hiding the pedophiles within the congregations?

Where could they see this "in the WTS' own words" so as not to be an "apostate's view", but would clearly show how the WTS instructs the JWs to avoid bringing in the legal/police aspect and relying on the elders to "take care of matters"?

I can't seem to find what I'm looking for today.....

Have you seen the scans of the Flock book that RR had taken and had scanned where there were handwritten notes in the margins? I know somebody here has got a scan of it. I would look for it but Im at work now. Dont know if that will help or not. You might could check on the silentlambs website.

BTW, I know its been a little while since you had surgery, how is your postoperative course going?

Silentlambs is the place I would recommend - though I have not visited that site for a long time, I am sure that Bill has massive archives that would give you what you need.

Thanks for the replies, apostapals! I KNOW I have seen exactly what I wanted to show someone.....just can't remember where to find it/them! I'll try the SL site!

The surgery went into two surgeries and the recovery was twice as long as it should have been, but I have been feeling better and stronger the last week or two....

Bless your heart for asking.....it means a lot. I have family four minutes away that never bothered to come by or phone after my brush with death and my weeklong stay in the ICU. It sure makes ya wonder and touches your heart when people you have never met.....ask about how you're doing.

ExJWs are a definetly on a different level of caring folks, aren't they?

Pay Attention book (elders manual). Thanks to "Elsewhere" http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/112942/1.ashx For several years there has been available a Pay Attention to Yourselves and to the Flock book in PDF and HTML format. This book has proven to be extremely valuable in exposing the morally questionable activities of the Watchtower Society.

Now we have a NEW version that is even more valuable because it contains the hand-written notes of a Presiding Overseer, some notes as recent as late 2005. These notes are frequently dictated to elders by a Circuit Overseer or District Overseer in order to avoid liability (the WTS can deny every giving such instructions).

An excellent example of what these notes contain is on page 74 where the elders are given instructions to DESTROY THE RECORDS OF CHILD MOLESTERS SO THE CHILD MOLESTERS CAN BECOME ELDERS AGAIN.

There are several other similar notes where the elders are instructed to call the Watchtower Legal Department if they hear of any allegations of abuse. Stop and think about this for a minute... if you heard an allegation of a child being raped, would you call the police or your lawyer? I suspect 99.999% of the population would immediately call the police, but not Jehovahs Witnesses! NO! They call their LAWYER!

You can download the new Flock book Here:

Flock Book with Notes - Large Version (53 MB)

Flock Book with Notes - Small Version (9 MB)

Hand written notes read: "Letter should be sent within one week. It is imperative that a letter be sent promptly if the person is or has been a child-molester. If Society determines the brother could be used again after having been a molester in the past, they will direct the congregation to destroy previous records." (very strange). From the manual for elders of Jehovah's Witnesses
"Pay Attention To Yourselves and to All the Flock"
    UNIT 5 (c) -- Part 1 of 3

    Handling Cases of
    Wrongdoing With Wisdom
    and Mercy

    Before Forming a Judicial Committee

He may encourage the wrongdoer to seek help from the
elders and confess; and if the wrongdoer does not do
so, the witness will then inform the elders. (w85 11/85 pp. 19-21)
If there is no response from the accused, two elders
should attempt to discuss the matter with him. If he
denies wrongdoing, so that it is only one brother's
word against another's, leave the matter in Jehovah's
    (1 Tim. 5:19, 24, 25)

How many JW children will be able to provided "two or three witnesses" to testify in their behalf, after having been sexually abused in the congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses?

Watchtower-1995-November-1-p.-28 "If the accusation is denied, the elders should explain to the accuser that nothing more can be done in a judicial way. And the congregation will continue to view the one accused as an innocent person. The Bible says that there must be two or three witnesses before judicial action can be taken." http://images.hostmypic.info/11c0fab61a.jpg Nevada-
