Lets have some light-hearted stuff that Mum can do to entertain the kids. (What did you think that this post was about? Ha Ha!)
For this you will need:
A banana.
A needle.
Gripping tool such as pliers or mole-grips.
Holding the needle by the eye end in the pliers, push it into the banana near to the top. Wiggle it from side to side in such a way that the banana inside is cut through without enlarging the hole through the skin. Move down half an inch and do the same thing again. Repeat to the end of the banana. The banana should look just the same, although it is actually now lying sliced inside its skin.
Now ask your little ones if they would like one of the new magic bananas that are grown ready sliced. They won't believe you of course,
but you should see their little faces when they unpeel it. A sliced banana just falls out of its skin. Magic!
