Ahh but what they do isn't journalism it's propoganda. ;)
Unethical quote from Nature, the magazine?
I don't see the Nature quotes as a problem, they are not strung together as if they were from one issue. And both of the quoted passages have been part of Nature articles.
But, one can always write to the HQ or branch and ask for the references in each article, and this will be sent to you. I have done that at times, concerning articles of scientific nature, and have always rapidly received the extended article, that is with notes and the references. You perhaps are not aware of the fact that you can do that? In some instances, it has explicitly been stated after the articles that one can do so, for example in connection with the 1933 Declaration article dealt with a few years ago.
Good Job FatFreek - Dubs don't need to
dicouraged fromstudy 'Wordly' articles, as the Society (in Its wisdom) has done this for them.
Lol - thing is, Dubs think they're soooooo educated because they can misquote one line from a publication that would go ''whoosh''.
THAT'S A BIT LIKE THOSE AIDS/HIV DENIERS WHO HAVE QUOTED RECENTLY FROM A LETTER OR THAT DOME CASINO thing on the culture ministry website.

Am I hearing you correctly? Then how about this quotation from Awake, "So we can expect the immediate future to be filled with thrilling events for those who rest their faith in God and his promises. It means that within relatively few years we will witness the fulfillment of the remaining prophecies that have to do with the 'time of the end.'" Yes, all things will "...finish in the autumn of the year 1975."
It doesn't bother you that straddling my phrase, "Yes, all things will", are quotations from a 1966 Awake followed by one from a 1968 Awake? Both of the quoted passages have been part of Awake articles.
You have also now given the reason why the Watchtower CD-ROM library only contains Awake! issues going back to 1970. Having easy access to Awake! issues from the 1960's would be too embarrassing for the Society!
VM44, I just discovered that for myself just moments ago.
While not conclusive, I also suspect that their programmers have masked "1975", possibly even entire paragraphs, from their internal search engine. The embarrasing quotes from issues of WT and KM seem to be invisible.
Further research from one of our skilled tech buffs is needed here.
Well, what makes you think the Watchtower can quote (from magazines such as this) within context and with reason,
given the track record they have on the Bible?
Hi, are there any scans of these two Awake! articels in 1966 and 1968 ?? I'm very interested to get good scans ... because everybody says: "The society never said '1975' in it's literature!"
And another information about the journalistic ethics: At the attached screenshot of the website of sigma delta chi foundation you find the name "James Pellechia" as a member and donor in 2001. I'm not sure, but i think, somebody here said, that this is THE James Pellechia, public affairs director of the Watchtower Society.
