    Honesty

A friend in Texas has been an unsuspecting RV for 2 jehovah's witnesses. They have been supplying him and his wife with Awakes and tracts for the past 3 or 4 years. I hesitated about saying anything because he really likes these 2 'sweet old ladies' that stop by to invite him to their 'church' about twice a month. But when he found out I used to be a double-dipped theocratic-coated super dub who is now a born again christian his curiosity got the better of him and he just had to ask why I left the jehovah's witnesses.

So I sent him an email yesterday with a few links and quotes. His reply is worth posting because maybe someone who is a jw's RV is lurking and wondering how others feel when they find out the truth about the troof. Bob, This stuff is outrageous. It is difficult for me to believe that any enlightened human being would fall for this blatant brainwashing. I really had no idea that these two sweet little old ladies that visit me were trying to put the ZAP on my head. This, of course, changes everything. I'm putting up a NO TRESPASSING SIGN and NO SOLICITORS OR AGENTS and JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES BEWARE!! Thanks!!!! Doug

I have also included links that explain and expose their doctrines. Watchtower 6/15/57 page 370 paragraph 7
    "Overseers of Jehovah’s People"
It is vital that we appreciate this fact and respond to the directions of the “slave” as we would to the voice of God, because it is His provision. Worldwide Security Under the “Prince of Peace”
    Chapter 1 page 10 paragraph 15
The Desire for Peace and Security Worldwide
It would be out of line with the plain teachings of the Scriptures to believe that God does not have an organization, an organized people, that he exclusively recognizes. Jesus Christ recognized that his heavenly Father had a visible organization. Until Pentecost 33 C.E., it was the Jewish organization in covenant relationship with Jehovah God under the Law of Moses.—Luke 16:16. Chapter 1 page 10 paragraph 16
The Desire for Peace and Security Worldwide
Was Moses the mediator between Jehovah God and mankind in general? No, he was the mediator between the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and the nation of their fleshly descendants. Likewise, the Greater Moses, Jesus Christ, is not the Mediator between Jehovah God and all mankind. He is the Mediator between his heavenly Father, Jehovah God, and the nation of spiritual Israel, which is limited to only 144,000 members. “The Nations Shall Know That I Am Jehovah”—How?
    Chapter 12 page 216 paragraph 9
“Until He Comes Who Has the Legal Right”
Shortly, within our twentieth century, the “battle in the day of Jehovah” will begin against the modern antitype of Jerusalem, Christendom. 11/15/81 page 21 paragraph 18
‘Stay Awake and Keep Your Senses’
And while now the witness yet includes the invitation to come to Jehovah’s organization for salvation, the time no doubt will come when the message takes on a harder tone, like a “great war cry.” Watchtower 8/15/81 page 28 paragraph 14
    Serving Jehovah “Shoulder to Shoulder”
From time to time, there have arisen from among the ranks of Jehovah’s people those who, like the original Satan, have adopted an independent, faultfinding attitude. They do not want to serve “shoulder to shoulder” with the worldwide brotherhood. (Compare Ephesians 2:19-22.) Rather, they present a “stubborn shoulder” to Jehovah’s words. (Zech. 7:11, 12) Reviling the pattern of the “pure language” that Jehovah has so graciously taught his people over the past century, these haughty ones try to draw the “sheep” away from the one international “flock” that Jesus has gathered in the earth. (John 10:7-10, 16) They try to sow doubts and to separate unsuspecting ones from the bounteous “table” of spiritual food spread at the Kingdom Halls of Jehovah’s Witnesses, where truly there is ‘nothing lacking.’ (Ps. 23:1-6) They say that it is sufficient to read the Bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home. But, strangely, through such ‘Bible reading,’ they have reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by Christendom’s clergy were teaching 100 years ago, and some have even returned to celebrating Christendom’s festivals again, such as the Roman Saturnalia of December 25! Jesus and his apostles warned against such lawless ones.—Matt. 24:11-13; Acts 20:28-30; 2 Pet.. 2:1, 22. At first, I thought that you were talking about a recreational vehicle (RV). It took me a couple of seconds to figure out that "RV" meant a "return visit". Sometimes, I don't catch on to the abbreviations. Then I'm to ashamed to ask what it meant because I don't want to appear to be out of the loop or loopy.

Thankyou, Crumpet. I don't know who moves them to the 'Best of' section.

Doug's reply is rather telling that most people who are being visited by the jw's don't have a clue what they really believe unless they see what the Watchtower has written and published as 'God's message' to humankind.

    That's ok, Mrs. Ducket.

I started typing 'Back Call' and then remembered it has been 'RV' for about 15 years or so.

    Well done Honesty!

He doesn't sound like he was a candidate for indoctrination anyway, but now it's a certainty - another one slipped through their fingers.

I like the way you used spme of their own quotes to damn them, excellent.
