I still have to mentally remind myself to say "bless you" when someone sneezes because I was taught by JW's that this is a pagan (superstitious) practice. I always thought it was so rude not to say it, but bit my tongue. Now I have to remind myself...SAY BLESS YOU! Anyone else have something they had to remind themselves to do to undo the brainwashing?

if someone sneezes I might say, "allergies?". If not, i don't say anything.
I often have to remind myself not to use dub terms. After almost 25 years of using them, it's not easy.
I am learning to use terms that I wouldn't have used as a jw, like lucky, and I've found that a lot easier than leaving the theocratese behind.
