I went throught the same thing with my mom. Fortunately, we made up, somewhat, before she died (her, my dad, and a number of people from my old Cong. were traveling to Bethel when she had a massive brain anurism (sp?) and died instantly).
It was much more difficult with my dad who used the "How am I going to explain to your mother that you did not make it into the New System" crap.
I totally understand your feelings.
