lol, I see you decided you wanted answers, dammit!

I've been around this board long enough to know that the letters S-E-X get attention quickly. If that fails, one can always resort to the threat of violence lol!!

harmless....really, no need for restraining orders...like those could stop me mwahahaha

In Austin, a lot of people recommend The Salt Lick (http://www.saltlickbbq.com/),

although I think it's more about the atmosphere/experience than the food.

I personally like these a lot better:

    Ben's Longbranch http://benslongbranchbarb.ypgs.net/

    Sam's BBQ http://www.austin360.com/dining/restaurants/17442/DetailedList.jspd?activity=17442

Rudy's is OK for a chain, but their sauce tastes like Bloody Mary mix.

I've never been, but Stubb's in Austin comes highly recommended. I use Stubb's marinade and BBQ sauce almost exclusively.

Stubb's is also well known for its music scene. A few of my friends from the Austin area didn't even know Stubb's served BBQ!

Live music is always a plus. I'm going to scout Austin for a little fun. Also, I'm planning on going to the River Walk if I can make it back to SA Sunday evening (and if it's going on Sundays).

    Thanks for the tips, guys!
