    You are very disengenuous to the Palestinians and ignorant of their suffering for the last 60 years under the ZioNazi rule of the Jews

    So, you're for the badges?

    First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out--
    because I was not a communist;
    Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out--
    because I was not a socialist;
    Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out--
    because I was not a trade unionist;
    Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--
    because I was not a Jew;
    Then they came for me--
    and there was no one left to speak out for me.

    avishai,

    I totally agree with you. The Jap military were demon possessed.
    They would use surrendered Indian soldiers and civilians as target practise. I can't think of strong enough words to condemn them.

    "So, you're for the badges? "
    That was an excellent poem.
    It seems there is nobody left to speak for the Palestinians amongst the powerful.

    No.

    Actually, there is a lot of support among Jewish Israeli's for the plight of the Palestinians. I googled the subject and got pages and pages reiterating what I know to be so. Among my American Jewish friends, who are mostly liberal, there is a lot of angst over how Palestinians are treated under the ever growing conservative movement in Israel. Here are a few examples.

    Jews for Justice: http://www.jfjfp.org/about.htm

    Jewish voice for peace: http://www.jewishvoiceforpeace.org/publish/article_102.shtml

    Oddly, I attempted a google search on the reverse (Palestinians speak out against suicide bombs), and got only a smattering and at that, many ended with a "yea, but they got it coming".

    What the western media often overlooks is that on the individual level, Jewish Israelis and Palestinians often get along (fall in love, marry, start businesses together, bands, play soccer together) but as an Israeli reporter noted when I went to listen to him, "extremists on both sides drive the politics in Israel".

    Spectrum let me ask you do you have children? Do the go to school by bus? Would you build wall around you for protection of your love one?
    Before 67 Israel had the same the war started by the Arab Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi a Arabia, no border with Israel Iraq, Algeria ,Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia.
    And lets not forget the former USSR why because Israel is Jewish at that time Israel had 3 million pl around Israel was over 120 million go to Israel and see it for yourself look around maybe you will understand what the British media report is not all the truth but part of it .
    Can you imagine sending your kids to school and you hope to see them after school came home? I don’t think you can I did all my life I was at war in 67, and 73 I saw war its no pretty on bout side I speak Arabic and Hebrew just listen to their radio or TV like singer came on and sing slaughter the Jew with the sword of Allah and send than to the see all this was before 1967 and its still on today Egypt have pace with Israel but the media have the same song

    Z,

    No I don't have children. But I have little sympathy for israelis that steal Palestinian land then complain that the Palestinians are trying to kill them. Of course they are going to try and kill them, of course they are going to verbalise it on TV and radio. What do you think the British were doing during WWII against the Nazis? They are behaving like spoilt children.
    I believe that Israel should exist the jews that stayed true to that land throughout the centuries and endured muslim and christian persecution deserve that much but as for the European Jews that have ousted and created 4 million Palestinian refugees should expect to be shot at.
    It's not the Palestinians fault that the Europeans didn't want Jews.

    "...Human rights groups are raising alarms over a new law passed by the Iranian parliament that would require the country's Jews and Christians to wear coloured badges to identify them and other religious minorities as non-Muslims. "This is reminiscent of the Holocaust," said Rabbi Marvin Hier, the dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles. "Iran is moving closer and closer to the ideology of the Nazis...."

    Of course there's nothing to worry about. I'm sure Iran's president and supporters really have the best interests of non-Muslims at heart. Just ignore it when you start to hear rumours that the Jews are being transported to "Labour Camps" in Muslim countries; I'm sure there'll be nothing really bad going on.
