It might sound kinda stupid, but I WANT surgery!
It doesn't sound stupid at all. Getting the surgery done on my knees was among the few intelligent things I did in my life. It was followed up with 3 months of physiotherapy. It was well worth it.

From the people I know who have had the surgery they all said it was the best thing they ever did.
They might try a knee brace first but if you need the surgery - get it by all means
