I wanted to know what books have been published on the subject of Jehovah's Witnesses to see what has been available to people attempting to research the relgion.

One thing us "anonymous activists" can do is to donate books critical of JWs to our public/college libraries. JWs in my area donate their literature, so I counter that with some other books so anyone doing research could get both points of view. I get used copies on Amazon for a low price & the libraries will take them as long as they're in good condition. (I even have them shipped directly to the library so I don't have to bother bringing or mailing it to the library myself....an easy and cheap way to promote our cause.) Plus I get to read the books 1st.
(I've also been known to slip Silent Lambs brochures inside the WTS books at the libraries.....)

Here's my pick - by a woman who was a very successful writer who happened to be raised (from age 9) as a JW and worked for a time at WTS headquarters. Her story of the 'unraveling' of her faith is absolutely mesmerizing and this book is far more readable than most written by ex-JWs. She really knows how to tell a story!
