If the blood transfusion ban of the WTBTS was lifted tomorrow, and having blood was left to 'the conscience' of each member, ie they would not be announced as 'No Longer one of Jehovah's Witness', if found out, what effect would this have on the beliefs of the standard ordinary JW?
Would they remember all of those who died for 'the cause' and realise their deaths were in vein, or would they just swallow the 'New Light BS?'

Blondie - The only difference I can see from the blood issue, is that basically, No Blood, is what a lot of people see when they think JW!
Surely it would have to redefine the way JWs saw themselves, as the ONLY people doing Jehovah's will on the planet, because something so many died for is no longer necessary! They are the ONLY one known for NOT taking blood no matter what!
The average dub would just keep watering the bushes and think nothing of it.
Is it only personal experience or loss of a loved one due to the ban that could wake a JW up then?
You almost got it right Gill, their death was in artery rather than in vein in the sense that they refused to allow life saving blood to enter their arteries.
I think they are so lethargic and hypnotised they will accept basically any BS from the FDS except the relatives of those that died who will sue the WTS in fury.
Then it will be very hard for the FDS to prove to a judge in court that jehovah had willed to keep away the new light until then, causing the death of so many JWs, and that they were just giving out what He was giving them each time. IOW they will seek to shift the blame on their jehovah.
The bOrg 'forsaw' that it would be sued till it haemorraged cash, to its own death when it split up into so many different coorportation in the 1980's.
Could the fact that this was a tactical issue to prevent its own death, from lack of lifeblood, 'cash' be used against it?
It forced its own members to bleed to death, and yet made moves to store its own life blood, (cash) ready for the day when it would start to haemorrage due to so many law suits.

History has taught us that when the WTS makes a radical policy or thelogical change and sell it to the R+F as "New Light" (as opposed to the correct term, which would be "polished turd") it will be accepted and not questioned by the overwhelming majority of the dubs.
