I'm posting this again - it's very insightful regarding leaving a group like the jws. The first five minutes is just the local news, so use the slide bar to get by it if you choose.

This was a good listen, even if just to hear the Aussie accents. What concerned me was that the two years after leaving a cult one lady almost left her children to go back to it.
A warning for anyone missing the JWs, it is a normal part of moving on from a cult to sometimes long for the good old days, but never go backwards.
I listened to it. I agree where he is coming from. I think the interesting thing about Steven Hassen is that most people who where actually in high controll groups can relate to alot of what he says. On the other hand he dosn't get the same great reviews and respect amongst those who haven't shared the expierance. The show is a good listen.
I listened to this tonight, and decided to bring it back to the top, because I think it is a very informative talk about cults.
You need to find about an hour to be able to hear it all, but it's worth listening to, imho. Good idea to take notes on this, too.
